Title: Deeper water
Fandom: Inception, Baldur's Gate
Rating/Warnings: E
Pairings/Characters: No pairing, Arthur and Syeira
Summary: “Arthur, I can't swim,” Syeira blurted.
“Come on!”
“Arthur-”
“Syeira, come on!” he said with a laugh, splashing into the water.
“Arthur, I can't swim,” Syeira blurted. He stopped and turned to look at her. She seemed embarrassed, so he stepped out of the water and went over to her, smiling softly and holding out his hands for hers.
“Then I'll teach you. No big deal,” he said as she put her hands in his. He led her out into the warm water of the ocean, sand crunching under their bare feet. He was patient, showing her the quick and easy strokes. She laughed when he floated on his back, and eventually, he got her out into deeper water.
She was kicking her legs with him and holding onto his hands.
“Do you trust me?”
She looked up at him, her eyes suddenly serious. “Of course I do.”
He felt warmth bloom in his stomach, and he nodded and slowly let go of her hands, hovering near her.
She dipped down a little, but then she got her hands moving. Looking up with a grin, she stroked past him, swimming in a circle around him. He laughed joyfully and shot forward, giving her a huge hug. She struggled to keep her feet going for a minute, surprised, but once she was treading the water again, she slipped her arms around him.
“Thank you,” she whispered, and Arthur smiled.
She was soon out-swimming him like crazy.
